Riding beyond our groomed trails means entering avalanche terrain, where proper knowledge & equipment are essential for your safety, & potentially for self-rescue. Know your limitations; if you’re unfamiliar with the terrain, don’t blindly follow tracks. Always inform someone of your plans & expected return time. Stay prepared. Ride smart. Put safety first.

Communicate

Carry a reliable satellite communication device; cell reception is not guaranteed in the mountains around Revelstoke. Daylight, weather and avalanche conditions are all contributing factors in our response times. If you think you need Search and Rescue, don’t delay calling 911 or activating the SOS feature on your satellite device.

Before heading into the backcountry, always check avalanche.ca or the Avalanche Canada app for the latest avalanche forecasts & conditions. Planning ahead is crucial — know the conditions & risks, understand the terrain, & ensure you have the proper training to make informed decisions.

Be prepared

Every rider must carry essential safety gear, including a transceiver, shovel, & probe, & know how to use them. Avalanche safety doesn’t stop at equipment, ongoing education & practice can make all the difference. Stay informed, be prepared, & ride responsibly.

As an off-road vehicle operator you must adhere to the regulations contained in the Provincial Off-Road Vehicle Act. Please ensure you are compliant when you are riding with us.
