Responsible Recreation

The key to our future

Responsible recreation means enjoying the backcountry with care — respecting the land, wildlife, & other users — to ensure that future generations can experience the same freedom we enjoy today. As snowmobiling in the Revelstoke area continues to grow in popularity & more riders explore the backcountry, the community faces increasing pressure from other users, government regulations, conservation measures & resource activities that influence access to key riding areas.

That’s why the Revelstoke Snowmobile Club has launched a 10-Year Land Use Strategy — a forward-looking plan that balances recreation & conservation. Through collaboration with Indigenous Nations, government, & industry partners, we’re identifying sustainable riding areas, mapping future trail opportunities, & protecting sensitive environments.

This long-term vision builds on our role as stewards of the land. By riding in designated areas, promoting responsible behavior, & supporting managed access, we help ensure snowmobiling remains a respected & valued part of Revelstoke’s backcountry landscape—today & for decades to come.
