Area 51
area 51
Rating: Unmanaged
Riding: Wide, low-angle alpine, open tree line meadows, cutblocks
Zone Description
“Area 51 is a lesser known riding zone that can still easily be reached from Revelstoke in a day. Riding there offers all the perks of the Revelstoke area: regular dumps of fluffy dry powder, open rolling terrain, and spacious tree riding – without the crowds of more popular zones. The trade-off is a long, ungroomed, whoop-fest trail that will make your arms feel just a little longer by the end of the day. But it can be worth it when the lake effect comes into play, dumping some of Revy’s deepest snowfalls.” – Sourced from Mountain Sledder Guidebook
