Sale

sale mountain

Rating: Extreme

Located 20 km North of Revelstoke on Highway 23, Sale is a local’s favourite.   Parking is extremely limited, so please use caution.  The forest service road leads to top of the mountain allowing for early and late access to the alpine.  Alpine meadows and steep tree riding offer something for everyone that chooses to make their way up the 15 km whooped out, ungroomed trail.

The BC Hydro communication tower and backcountry cabin are both private property. We ask that you do not trespass.

Caribou Closures
Please respect the seasonal snowmobile caribou closures on Sale Mountain from January 1 to April 15 (inclusive). Information and maps are available on the wildlife page or stop in at the Revelstoke Snowmobile Club Welcome Centre to learn more.

Be aware that logging trucks are active on the highway and when you encroach on the road you are putting other users at risk. Logging trucks cannot stop as quickly as other vehicles. Stay safe and don’t put others at risk.
