Mt McCrae

Area type: Unmanaged

Riding: A good variety of terrain types including trees, meadows, lakes and alpine bowls

Zone Description
“McCrae Peak has a little bit of everything, the only real catch being that it can involved a long, bumpy trail tide in. There are great trees to ride, open alpine bowls, climbs, and more than a few enjoyable features. It’s not a huge area, but when the visibility and snowpack are cooperating you can nearly circumnavigate the entire peak, making for fun exploring rewarded with incredible views from the peak’s several protruding ridgelines. There is even a small icefield up there, although you might never know it in winter. It can be a little tricky finding your way up to the alpine, but once you do navigation becomes mostly straightforward.” – Sourced from Mountain Sledder Guidebook
