Wap Lake Road – Mt. Begbie
Wap Lake Road – Mt. Begbie
Area type: Unmanaged
Riding: Small, technical area with amazing views
Zone description
“Mount Begbie is a small zone, but you don’t go there for the size, you go for the experience. It’s the highest and most prominent peak visible from Revelstoke, and likewise has the best view of town from near its summit. It also offers the change to just under a hanging glacier nestled between the towering buttresses of the peak itself. Getting there involves a sketchy ride through an avalanche-ripe valley, but if you pick a beautiful sunny day when the snow pack is stable, the reward can be well worth the risk.” – Sourced from Mountain Sledder Guidebook
