Hall

Rating: Extreme

There is a little something for everyone at Hall Mountain. A large network of old forest service roads is a fun way to wrap your way around the mountain into the alpine. Alternatively, tight tree riding challenges those that want a quicker way to the top. This area is a good option during those Revelstoke socked in days.

Hall Mountain is located 40 minutes South of Revelstoke on Highway 23. This is an unmanaged riding zone, and it does not have a groomed trail network. The main trail to the alpine will be bumpy. Be mindful of the cut blocks on this mountain as they may pose avalanche risk.

For more of a family ride, stay on the logging road and head towards Coursier Lake. The new cut blocks on the backside of Hall Mountain are very avalanche prone. It is your responsibility to check avalanche conditions before heading out.

Parking
A small parking lot is located on the West side of the highway (6-10 vehicles) or at the Shelter Bay junction.

Remember that these are multi-user parking lots, do not block in Heli-skiing transport vans to ensure that all users can easily access the backcountry.

Logging
This area is frequently logged. Radio communication is required. Road and parking access can change daily. Please do not block logging traffic during the week or weekends when equipment is being moved. Contact Front Counter BC in Big Eddy if there are concerns about logging activity.
