SUSTAINABILITY: ONE OF OUR CORE VALUES

Trail fees and waste management

Trail fees collected at Frisby and Boulder fund many of our club’s activities including waste management. Our emergency cabins on each mountain provide garbage collection points which allow us to remove refuse from these remote locations. Adjacent to each of our emergency shelters and ticket booths the Revelstoke Snowmobile Club also maintains public use outhouses. During the summer the club maintains the trails and parking lots, picking up any waste that is left behind.

We’re fostering positive relations

The Revelstoke Snowmobile Club partners with other recreationalist groups to share infrastructure and other resources. This not only fosters positive relationships within the community but it also allows the use of existing infrastructure, minimizing the recreational impact on the lands.

Managed areas under the club’s Rec Sites and Trails Partnership Agreement allows the club the opportunity to collect fees which are re-invested back into the land in the form of trail improvements promoting responsible recreation in the region for the foreseeable future.

A global leader in sustainable recreational snowmobiling

Areas managed under our partnership agreement with Rec Sites and Trails BC are not only great for the environment they also allow us to maintain family friendly infrastructure on our mountains. We host 3 events each year that promote the family friendliness of snowmobiling as a sport, including 2 Family Day events and our vintage ride which is well attended by families. Families are the future of our sport.
